Dubblefilm Solar ISO 200

It’s hard to break my dedication to good ol Fujifilm ISO 400 rolls. I’m all about consistent, vibrant, & budget friendly! Every once in a blue moon i’ll stumble across a roll of film that excites me enough to try something new. The latest? Dubblefilm’s Solar, a ISO 200 35mm film, pre-exposed with “sun-kissed effects”.

Similar effects can be created by allowing a light leak to occur, as seen in my images from my trip to Easton’s Cemetery. At $15 a roll, Dubblefilm does all the work for you by pre-exposing the roll, which results in unique double exposures of your images.

Personally, I love the effects this film creates. Upon seeing it online, I knew I wanted a portrait of myself taken with this film. So, I made my boyfriend drive to the top of a parking garage before dinner one evening to take my picture, as seen above!

We made it to the top of the parking garage as the sun began to set. After having my picture taken, I fired off some quick shots of our surroundings.

Would I shoot with this film again? Sure. The price point is much too high for me to shoot with a film like this consistently (especially when similar effects can be achieved manually), but I truly had a lot of fun with this roll!
